Social media is a huge part of our everyday life. I would guess that between Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest most people have some sort of social media profile, and most of those people have multiple social media profiles. I myself have a profile on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterested, LinkedIn, Foursquare, Google+, and more recently the new and improved MySpace.
But not all social media users are the same. There are:
Key influencers. Influencers have a good reputation with a wide variety of people. They engage with a large number of people and are widely published.
Engagers. Those who are quickly responsive and have a strong influence in their networks.
Multichannel consumers. Most of the time they are spectators instead of players and prefer face-to-face interaction.
Standard consumers. Doesn’t tend to rely on social media, and prefers to interact with people and products in person.
